UNICEF Event Presence at Bern Main Station

For UNICEF Switzerland, we had the opportunity to deliver a special event activation at Bern Main Station. The goal was to raise awareness among passers-by about UNICEF’s work and to sensitize them to supporting children in need – accompanied by a real on-site highlight.

The Valuable Work of UNICEF

Millions of children worldwide have no access to protection, education, or medical care. For 80 years, UNICEF has been committed to the well-being of these children.

This work has led to the following impressive figures:

  • 251 million children under the age of five received services for the early detection of malnutrition, and 9.3 million were treated for severe acute malnutrition.
  • 26 million children and adolescents who were not attending school gained access to education, including 9 million in crisis areas.
  • Over 18 million people gained access to sanitation facilities, 33 million to clean water, and 21 million to hygiene services.

The Event Activation: Dialogue, Encounters, and Engagement

We share a long-standing and valued partnership with UNICEF. The event was held under the slogan “Because every bit of help counts” – as, according to UNICEF, the needs of children worldwide have never been as great as they are today.

For the activation, a large event space was rented at Bern railway station, where two beach flags, two information stands, a large exhibition wall, two roll-ups, and a prize wheel were set up. Three motivated Corris dialogue ambassadors were selected for the activation and received intensive training from UNICEF during a dedicated training day on the organization’s history and areas of work.

The dialogue ambassadors encouraged passers-by to try their luck at the prize wheel, where they could win various items such as toothbrushes, bags, calendars, pencil cases, and pens. The prize wheel attracted a great deal of attention and sparked numerous conversations.

The highlight of the event was the visit of UNICEF ambassador Stefanie Heinzmann, who was personally present on one of the days and supported the activation. We captured the joint engagement of our dialogue ambassadors and Stefanie Heinzmann in a video – feel free to watch it!
