Face-to-face fundraising
Street fundraising, also known as face-to-face fundraising, is a sound investment in the future of a charity. It enables organisations to inform a wide range of people about their causes and significantly raise their profile. It also helps to attract many loyal donors.
Reaching young donors
Through face-to-face fundraising and Corris’s street campaigns, charities can attract a surprisingly large number of young and loyal donors – compared to other fundraising methods. 80 per cent of first-time donors give more than once, which is an exceptionally good result! Equally remarkable is the above-average amount donated. Furthermore, many of the donors fall within the 18–30 age group, which is difficult to reach using traditional fundraising methods. Charities thus receive a multiple of their investment in the long term for every franc spent.
Motivated and genuine participants in dialogue
The ‘dialoguer*s’ – as we call our staff at the information stand – are predominantly young people who are currently in training, looking to change careers or taking a gap year. We recruit this young target group via Google AdWords, social media and job portals. The most suitable candidates are selected through a multi-stage selection process, during which we place great emphasis on presentation, spontaneity and communication skills. Thorough training, carried out in close collaboration with the charity, and regular checks by Corris ensure that our ‘Dialoguer*s’ conduct their conversations competently and unobtrusively.
Strategic consultancy
We advise our clients on campaign content, implementation and product design. We also produce reliable long-term forecasts of expected costs and revenue over several years. We handle the approval procedures, provide support where required with the design and production of all campaign materials, and put together the ideal team of fundraisers. Campaign managers, together with coaches, monitor the progress of the face-to-face fundraising campaign and ensure that the fundraisers are properly trained and motivated.
Transparent reports
Our clients have exclusive access to campaign results via Power BI, where they can view the qualitative and quantitative outcomes of their campaign at any time. Thanks to additional, in-depth communication with regional managers and data experts throughout the campaign, our clients are always kept fully informed of costs, expected revenue and results. Individual pledges are recorded in our database system, checked, corrected where necessary, and forwarded for further processing.
Switzerland’s most comprehensive database of sites
Using our stand location database – developed over 30 years and constantly updated – we draw up an optimal campaign plan for charities and NPOs. This database lists all possible and suitable stand locations on public and private land in Switzerland, including the contact persons responsible for granting permission and the permitted uses. This specifies how often and at what intervals a location may be used by a charity for stand-based fundraising activities. All relevant information, such as footfall and suitability for all weather conditions, is also recorded. For private locations, we often have exclusive usage agreements in place for street fundraising campaigns.
